Diagnostic assistance

Fleet Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Remote and on-site technical assistance for difficult transit-bus faults when standard troubleshooting has stalled or multiple systems are reporting symptoms at once.

Structured technical assistance

Review symptoms, fault codes, wiring diagrams, live data and prior repair history; identify the most useful next measurements; and build a test plan that technicians can execute.

Advanced propulsion support

Battery-electric and hybrid faults involving no-Ready conditions, HVIL, pack availability, isolation, contactors, propulsion inverters, traction motors, charging and thermal systems.

Electrical and network support

Power/ground problems, reference circuits, intermittent faults, multiplex I/O, CAN/J1939 communication failures, missing modules and conflicting secondary fault codes.

Technician coaching

Support is intended to develop in-house diagnostic capability—not simply provide a parts recommendation. The goal is evidence-based fault isolation and verified repair.

Transit fleet technical support for difficult bus faults

JBC provides remote and on-site technical assistance when a fleet needs an additional diagnostic resource for a difficult or recurring problem. Support can focus on battery-electric and hybrid propulsion, electrical systems, CAN/J1939 networks, charging, thermal management, high-voltage interlocks and no-start/no-Ready conditions.

Evidence-based troubleshooting

The process starts with the symptom, operating state, fault history and available service information. JBC then helps organize schematics, live data, network status and measurements into a test sequence designed to identify root cause rather than encourage parts swapping.

Technician coaching during diagnosis

Technical assistance can be used as a workforce-development opportunity. When appropriate, JBC works through the diagnostic logic with fleet technicians so the organization retains the method and knowledge after the immediate problem is resolved.

Fleet-specific delivery: JBC can tailor course depth, exercises, vehicle examples, schematics and diagnostic scenarios to the fleet's equipment and technician experience.
